Metropolis is Tops!

DVD Beaver (Jeez, they need to change the name of that site) has awarded me and Jonathan Rosenbaum "Best Audio Commentary of 2010" for our team-up on the Masters of Cinema release of the restored Metropolis. And then, they went and placed the Metropolis release on their Top 100 List and named it an "Essential DVD." So... I'm hoping I get a trophy! I want a big gold statue (of the robot Maria?) to put on my mantle!

(Masters of Cinema's Metropolis also won Best Cover Design and 2nd Place for Best Disc of the Year... and meanwhile City Girl took 3rd Place--and I also did the audio commentary for that one, too. Just sayin') Congrats to everybody at Masters of Cinema--way to go!
