The Diabolical Cinema of Dr. Mabuse

Welcome to a world of mad scientists, grumbly cops, secret agents, and swashbuckling heroes. Of femme fatales and damsels in distress. Of double- and triple-agents. Of false fronts, false bottoms, disguises, deceptions, lies, and intrigue. A world where a mad genius escapes death (repeatedly) to terrorize the world in his unyielding quest for world domination.

A world where evil lurks in churches, madhouses, prisons, opera houses and luxury hotels. Where the good guys put up facades too, camouflaged as an optometry clinic, a brothel, a planetarium. Where everyday objects like earrings, flowers, telephones, and cameras can be sinister tools of evil. Where unmarked vans spew flames, flowers explode, and hit men roam the shadows firing steel needles into their victim’s brains.
A world of hypnosis, telepathy, prescient dreams and mind control. Of trap doors, evil clowns, death rays, invisible men, zombies, and frogmen. Of Friday the 13th, Operation X, and Operation Archimedes. A place where no one is who they seem, and nothing is real.

“You have only one Lord and Master, Doctor Mabuse!”
